The Advantages Of Hydro Led Light

By Jayne Rutledge

Hydro Led light is used to reproduce the sunlight frequencies needed to sustain life. This low energy, high output light emitting diode technology is the latest trend in sunless agriculture. It allows agriculture production in areas where it couldn't be otherwise possible to grow plants. The use of this technology allows growing vegetables, crops and other plants in all seasons.

Natural sunlight is absolutely needed for the process of photosynthesis. This technology simulates natural sunlight, and it is very successful in this. It allows indoor growing in all weather conditions and provides additional sunlight when needed. Besides, it can also be used to stimulate seeding, for example.

When it comes to indoor plants growing, all plants need natural day and night cycle to grow successfully. The wavelength determines the color of the light. For example, red light is considered best for growing fruits and flowers. On the other hand, blue is much better solution when it comes to growing vegetables. In short, all plants have different requirements.

The beauty of using LED lights is in their ability to produce the exact wavelength that is needed to fulfill specific requirements. This way they use less energy, because they don't have to produce all unnecessary wavelengths at the time. Producing only the desired spectrum, they also don't generate excessive heat, as other sources do. Excessive heat may damage your plants.

Another great advantage is their small size. LED lights are generally very small, and it means that they can be used in some very small spaces. They can come in all shapes and sizes, and different levels of quality are also available, depending on the purpose. Of course, the price is related to the quality of performance and the durability level.

The main downside is the price, initial costs for installing LEDs are considerably higher, comparing to other similar sources. Another thing to consider is that they require controlled temperature conditions. If overheated, LEDs can be damaged and they can burn. On the other hand, growing plants indoor also requires controlled temperature. Later on, thanks to lower energy consumption, these expenses are lowered.

Some LED lights emit a full spectrum, and others target specific colors. Different combinations are also available. This means your final choice should depend primarily on your selected indoor growing plants. The best results are achieved using lights designed to emit specific spectrum, tailored to satisfy the needs of the plants being cultivated.

Using different combinations, you will be able to mimic certain natural outdoor growing conditions very successfully. For example, using different wavelengths, you can mimic spring weather conditions to improve seeding. This is achieved using wavelengths in combination with temperature and the intensity of your lamps.

Hydro Led light is mainly used for indoor hydroponic plants. Hydroponics is a well-known method of growing plants using water solution of mineral nutrients, without traditional soil, and with or without presence of inert medium, such as gravel or expanded clay. This specific type of cultivation is suitable for almost any terrestrial plant.
