You Will Be Glad You Can Reach For NEBO Flashlights

By Jaclyn Hurley

Know the difference between LED (Light Emitting Diode) and incandescent light before purchasing your emergency lighting. NEBO flashlights provide many choices and are readily available on the market. Also keep in mind what the tool will be used for. Models come in a variety of sizes and can fit into anything.

LED, lights up when the diode is switched on. Electrons move around the nucleus and release energy giving off light. Incandescent light, is a glass bulb filled with an inert gas and tungsten filament. The electric current from the batteries in the flashlight pass through the filament which heats the filament and produces a visible light.

When the bulb breaks or burns out in the traditional flashlight, it has to be replaced. In contrast the LED has no glass parts so it does not break if dropped or bumped against something hard. In addition, the LED uses much less energy so batteries last longer and the life expectancy of their bulb is dramatically longer than the traditional light.

The amount of strength, direction, and distance of the light depends on which model tool you choose. If you want one you can use in a variety of work situations, there is an LED model that has a hanging hook, a stand that allows for a two hundred degree pivot, and it has a magnetic base. A person can set it on any surface and direct the beam while keeping their hands free to complete their task.

Another good idea is to always have a rechargeable model in your car, truck, boat, or Recreational Vehicle. It just plugs into any 12 volt outlet and will produce a compact and bright light for six hours. That is plenty of time to either change a tire, go for help, or look at a map.

But what if you do not have access to any power outlets you may ask. Easy to solve with a model that has an internal rechargeable battery that you use a crank handle to recharge. There is no need for additional batteries so they save you money. These are perfect for any emergency, camping, power outage, or outside activities.

Home security is another reason for owning the best light possible. A tactical model is available on the market. In the shape of a bat, it provides enough light to suppress the night vision of any unwanted intruder. It has a a strobe light in addition to two options of lighting. One will provide two-hundred lumens of light and the other one-hundred lumens. Anything over fifty lumens within a distance of ten yards can cause temporary blindness when viewed directly.

The purpose for the tool is the most important factor when deciding on what size to purchase. You will certainly find one to fill your needs and your pocketbook. Keep one in your vehicle, kitchen, purse and school bag in addition to your emergency kit. Also be certain to have proper batteries.
