Farming has a special place in the lives of many people. This subject is probably among the leading fields of industry today. One of the most famous ones is the picture of the farmer and his wife. A typical look of a farmer in his work would need him to wear a straw hat, carry a pitchfork and usually donned in jumpers.

Farms have always played a vital role in our lives as it becomes the key source of nutrition for all people. There are a lot of people that have actually grown their own food as well as tended to their own animals for meat as well as for milk. Waking up very early in the morning to tend to their crops and animals is just a part of a farmers' daily routine.

Farming is changed over the years as technology has entered the picture. Farmers today no longer have to bother themselves with plowing the fields through the use of cows or yokes. Farms today makes use of high tech equipment and machines to plow as well as to water their crops. Modifications have also been made on crops to the point that they are able to withstand harsh weather conditions. Huge, technically designed storage facilities such as silos maintain constant temperature and humidity and allows these farmers to store more efficiently and safely. With this modern advancements in farming, people are now able to avail a bigger amount of produce or goods in the local market.

Farmers used to rely on nature to water their crops. Today, a farmer can easily spread water on all corners of the field or farm in a lesser time through advanced water systems, irrigations and watering machineries. With this, the modern farmer is able to carry out more chores at the same time and are able to grow his goods at a quicker rate.

The invention of the yoke and the cow-driven plow has been the best invention yet with regard to farming. Farmers back then used animals such as cows or horses to plow the fields. Today's world however no longer require these mediocre methods. Huge modern machinery that has air-conditioned cabs, satellite radio, and even computers, dot the landscape of farms these days. These modern marvels can plow and harvest large areas of the modern farm in much less time and with much more comfort. Consequently, this means farmers are able to save more time in their job.

The invention of the computer greatly benefits all families today. They can handle scheduling chores such as milking cows and feeding livestock on timers. That frees the farmer to do other chores. They can handle schedules that the farmer needs to maintain their farm in an efficient manner. Thus these modern machines can also take care of the families finances in the most effective way possible.

All of these advances is made the modern farm a technological marvel. You can do more with less due to technological advances than ever before.
